چکیده

A new class of emissive cyclometallated IrIII−AuI complexes with a bis(diphenylphosphino) methanide bridging ligand was successfully synthesised from the diphosphino complex [Ir(N^C)2(dppm)]+ (1). The different gold ancillary ligand, triphenylphosphine (2), chloride (3) or thiocytosine (4) did not reveal any significant effect on photophysical properties, which are mainly due to metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (3MLCT) transitions based IrIII. However, AuI fragment, along seemed crucial for bioactivity in A549 lung carcinoma cells versus endothelial cells. Both cell types display variable sensitivities (IC50=0.6–3.5 μM). apoptotic pathway is activated all cases, and paraptotic death seems take place at initial stages Species 2–4 showed least dual lysosomal mitochondrial biodistribution cells, an localisation possible trafficking process between both organelles time. bimetallic disrupted transmembrane potential increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation thioredoxin reductase (TrxR) inhibition comparison that displayed by monometallic 1. Angiogenic activity assays performed revealed promising antimetastatic 1, 2 4.

Flavonoids: promising anticancer agents.

Flavonoids are polyphenolic compounds that are ubiquitously in plants. They have been shown to possess a variety of biological activities at nontoxic concentrations in organisms. The role of dietary flavonoids in cancer prevention is widely discussed. Compelling data from laboratory studies, epidemiological investigations, and human clinical trials indicate that flavonoids have important effect...

Nitric oxide donor hybrid compounds as promising anticancer agents.

Nitric oxide (NO) plays important roles in cardiovascular regulation, nerve transmission delivery and immune responses. In the last semicenturry, it has been proved that though low concentration of NO is tumor-promoting, high concentration of NO could exhibit multiple antitumor effects, which led to the research and development of kinds of NO donors and NO donor hybrid compounds as antitumor ag...

Marine Mollusk‐Derived Agents with Antiproliferative Activity as Promising Anticancer Agents to Overcome Chemotherapy Resistance

The chemical investigation of marine mollusks has led to the isolation of a wide variety of bioactive metabolites, which evolved in marine organisms as favorable adaptations to survive in different environments. Most of them are derived from food sources, but they can be also biosynthesized de novo by the mollusks themselves, or produced by symbionts. Consequently, the isolated compounds cannot...
